Gwyn Herndon of Springfield, MO lived 72 years spreading love and joy through her kind heart, warm smile, and true appreciation for others. She passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on October 25, 2021.

Gwyn was born March 2, 1949, in Springfield, MO, to James and Leta Faucett. She was one of six children and known by her family as "Sissy". Gwyn was a people person and animal lover who enjoyed decorating dollhouses, listening to Neil Diamond, spoiling her pets, shopping with her sisters, eating Mexican Villa, and spending time with her family. Gwyn was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend who could bring a smile to the face of anyone she met.

Gwyn was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charlie Faucett and David Faucett; and son, Eric Herndon.

Gwyn is survived by her son, Mike Herndon; four grandsons, Garrett, Joshua, Jon Jon, and David; three sisters, Lynda Youngblood, Frances Duermeyer (Ken), and Nina Meads (Mike); several nephews, nieces, and extended family, all who love her very much.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 11 AM with visitation immediately preceding from 10-11 AM, Wesley United Methodist Church, 922 W Republic Rd, Springfield, MO 65807.
