Guy Inghram Blankenship, Jr. died unexpectedly at Cox South Medical Center on September 4, 2018, from complications of Kidney disease. Guy was born March 30, 1960, in Maywood, California to Guy I. Blankenship, Sr. and Georgia Spencer Blankenship.

Guy owned GB's Painting Company in Springfield for 30 years. He painted many well know businesses including Barnes & Noble in Springfield and Denny's Restaurant in Branson. Guy was an avid sports fan and was seldom seen without a Los Angeles Rams jersey. He was a master at sports trivia. He was known as a jokester at family gatherings and was always fun to be around.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents and half-sister, Kathleen Georgia Orenna.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Crystal Blankenship; his brother, George Blankenship of Pineville, MO; his daughter, Bobbi Jo Williamson of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter, Alexandria Pitts of Las Vegas, NV; and great-granddaughter, Emily.

Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, September 7, 2018, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Dr. Carl Rees officiating with visitation to follow. Burial to follow in the Jones Chastain Cemetery, Christian County, MO.

Guy was greatly loved by many people and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
