Glenda Lee (Thompson) Smith, 62, passed away at her home on October 26, 2023.

Ms. Smith was first married to Rlanda Tyndal, who preceded her in death. One son was born to this marriage, John Paul (Melissa) Tyndal, of Orville, CA; she helped raised his other children.

She later married Doyle Lewis of Licking, MO. To this marriage two daughters were born, Amber (Michael) Richardson and Anna (Crystal Robinson) Lewis, both of Springfield, MO.

Lastly, she was married to Ronald Smith who preceded her in death in 2015.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Paul R. Thompson and Hazel M. Travis; two half-brothers; one half-sister; one younger sister; and many other loved ones.

In addition to her children, she is survived by two older half-sisters, both of Arizona; one sister, Patricia Kirk of Springfield, MO; two grandsons, John G. Tyndal and Oliver Lewis; her special friend, Sam Polen; and many other extended family members and friends.

Glenda loved to fish and play scrabble, but her grandsons were the most important part of her world. In the last few years of her life, she took care of children who all lovingly called her GiGi. Glenda was loved by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. An account will be set up for her grandson, Oliver Lewis for anyone who may want to contribute.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral services of Springfield, MO.
