Glen "Sonny" L. Gruber, 78, of Springfield, MO, was born June 10, 1942 and passed away November 10, 2020.

Sonny was born in Denver, Colorado, and at age 9 he moved to Missouri. January 5, 1964 he married Linda Weckner at Hopewell Baptist Church. In the years following they had 4 children. Moving from Goodson, Missouri to Wichita, Kansas, then Blackwell, Oklahoma to Humansville, Missouri then making Urbana, Missouri their home. He held many jobs in that time making him the self employed jack-of-all-trades doing construction and home repair that we all knew him for. He retired in 2001 leaving him time to enjoy gardening and bird watching, as well as hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids.

Sonny was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lena McGufason and Glen C Gruber; his baby sister, brother Buddy, his son Timmy Joe, granddaughter Angel Henry and 3 great granddaughters Ellie, Remi and Adalynn Starr.

He is survived by wife Linda, 3 daughters Valerie Rowland, Melissa Keith, and Lori Mechele Brown, Son Ricky Gruber and their spouses, sister Janis Swanigan, 10 grandkids, 10 great grandkids and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
