IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glatha
Hooper
August 12, 1947 – December 30, 2024
Glatha Jean (Golston) Hooper, 77, was born August 12, 1947, in Macks Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Everett and Sibyl (Eidson) Golston. She went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2024.
Glatha was raised on a farm near Macks Creek and graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1965. Glatha married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Hooper in 1968. She loved the Lord, her family and her many friends with a passion and joy that is truly rare to find.
Glatha was very humble and lived a quiet life of service to her Lord, to her family and to anyone around her in need. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years, helped her husband in his woodworking business, and worked in many jobs in the grocery business as well. She was always willing to do just about any work to provide for her family. One of her finest qualities was a passion for loving and serving others without expecting anything in return. The most memorable times were special family gatherings and Christmas. She always made Christmas special with her gift for beautiful decorating and fabulous gift wrapping.
Above all else, Glatha loved the Lord with her whole heart and was an excellent example to her family and all who knew her of living by faith.
Glatha is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers Ward and Jerry, and two sisters, Dolores and Barbara. Surviving her are son Greg and his wife Lynn of Oak Point, TX; son Jeff and his wife Nikki of Urbana, MO; brother Gary; sisters Evelyn, Brenda, Beverly and Cynthia; four grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and many, many other family and friends who love her and will miss her every day.
