Ginger Anne Sailors, 75, of Springfield, MO, departed this world for her heavenly home July 13, 2021. She was born July 14, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, to Vernon and Virginia Walser.

Ginger grew up in St. Louis and loved sharing stories of her childhood. She served as a Police Sergeant in Osage Beach and obtained her degree in Criminal Justice from Drury College in 1979.  Much of her career was spent as a Medical Transcriptionist in Southwest Missouri.  She lived life to the fullest and devoted many years riding with and serving the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) as a Regional Director.  In retirement she spent nearly all of her time loving family and being Gawgaw to her granddaughters, their cousins and friends.  If you knew Ginger, her laugh, and her smile, you couldn't help but love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Virginia Walser; nephew, Kevin Walser; and other beloved family.

Ginger was a fierce protector of family. She is survived by her son, William Bauer; daughter, Christine Vaughan and husband Marty; granddaughters, Victoria & Sophia Vaughan; her brother, Vernon Walser and wife Ginny; her cousins, Randy Niehoff and wife Marilyn, Gregory Niehoff and wife Jan, Kurt Niehoff and wife Joan; numerous other cousins and family members; dear friends, Glenda Augustine, Linda Powell, Peggy Webb, Chris Hammonds, Marvin and Connie Vaughan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 12 PM - 1 PM, with services to follow at 1 PM, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 2210 W. Republic Road, Springfield, MO 65807.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, as it was near and dear to her heart.
