Gerald Lee Wilcoxen Jr, 67, of Springfield, MO, passed away November 19, 2021. He was born April 24, 1954, in Dover Hill, IN, to Gerald and Ruby Wilcoxen. He graduated in 1972 from Shoals High School, Shoals, IN.

Gerald was proud to have served as a US Marine. He enjoyed hunting deer and squirrel and fishing. He also loved to eat. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3934 and American Legion Post 69.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wilcoxen Sr; and baby sister, Debbie; grandparents, Frank and Clara Wilcoxen and George and Mamie Parson; and in-laws, Charles and Rose Johnson.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Wilcoxen; children, Gary Scott Wilcoxen and wife Christie of Loogootee, IN, Shaun Wilcoxen and wife Brandy of Springfield, MO, and Michael Wininger Jr and wife Ida of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Chase Wilcoxen and wife Hannah, Cade Wilcoxen, Conner Wilcoxen, Cacia Wilcoxen, Clara Wilcoxen, Bailey Wilcoxen, Daryan Wininger and Katelyn Choate; great-granddaughters, Sophia and Chloe Wininger; mother, Ruby Wilcoxen of Shoals, IN; sisters, Evelyn Hellums and Barbara Ivey of Shoals, IN; brothers-in-law, Charlie Johnson and wife Arlene and Kenneth Johnson of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
