Obituary

Georgene Mary Allread was born Georgene Mary Vlach but they called her Dooney. I never knew how she got the nickname, until I spoke with her sister recently. Apparently, when her father first saw her he said that her ears stuck out so much she looked gooney. Her mother said you can't call her goony and he said fine I'll call her Dooney....and it stuck.  Her favorite movie was The Student Prince, because it was in that movie she came to accept Jesus Christ as her personal savior. From that point on she dedicated herself to knowing her Savior and sharing her Savior with as many people as she could.Though, she faced many challenges in life she faced them all with a heart filled with the person of Jesus.

Georgene Mary (Vlach) Allread, 74, of Springfield, MO, passed away to Join The Lord, for as Jesus promised in John 14:3 and the apostle Paul re affirmed in 2 Corinthians 5:8 that to be absent from body is to be present with Christ Jesus. She was surrounded by her loving family as she crossed into her reward, her Lord Jesus.

Georgene is survived by her husband of 52 years, John James Allread; son, James L. Allread and wife Maureen; daughter, Jeanne F. Manke and husband Dale; daughter, Susan M. Coleman and husband Thomas; son, Timothy J. Allread and wife Elizabeth; and son, Kenneth L. Sykes. She loved each of her grandchildren, David, Sean, Hans, Benjamin, Jacob, Andrew, Sarah, Alexis and Daniel.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the so many who have selflessly loved Georgene throughout the years.
