George Earl Riley Sr., of Springfield, MO, was born September 3, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI, and departed this life July 20, 2016, in his home at the age of 73.

George enlisted in the Army in 1962, he served his country and many others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Riley; mother, Bernice Riley; wife, Carrie Riley; and sisters, Carol Gravitt, Sharon Rennedy and Pat Fleming.

George is survived by his seven children, George Earl Riley Jr of Dewer, OK, Joseph Michael Riley of Springfield, MO, Michael Jerome Riley of Springfield, MO, Michelle Bernice Chapman of Springfield, MO, Sharon Ann Mitchell of Okmulgee, OK, Jerome Michael Riley of Republic, MO, and Shannon Louis Furer of Okmulgee, OK; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2 PM, on Saturday, July 23, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, July 25, 2016, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery will full Military Honors.

He was a loving son, brother, father and uncle which would do anything for anybody. A stranger could come up and ask he would give his heart.  Our father will be truly missed. We love you Dad.
