IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Genevive
Lamb
April 21, 1937 – August 25, 2025
Genevive "Genny" Louise Lamb
Bolivar, Missouri
April 21, 1937 – August 25, 2025
Genevive "Genny" Louise Lamb, 88, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 21, 1937, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Geneva L. Guest, Genny's childhood was full of adventure. With her family working on the oil pipelines, she lived in many different states and proudly called herself a "gypsy." She loved sharing stories of her travels, and her family never tired of hearing them.
In 1955, Genny moved to Corbin, Kansas, where she met the love of her life, Charles Lamb. An only child, Genny always dreamed of having a big family—and her dream came true. Together, she and Charles built a home filled with laughter, love, and the wonderful chaos of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Genny was the heart of it all and her love stretched across generations.
Spunky and full of life, Genny loved a good cold beer, could play a mean game of cribbage, and bowled in leagues for over 50 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and preparing big, delicious meals—especially with vegetables from Chuck's garden. She also loved playing bingo, which brought her many fun memories and friendships over the years. She lived for simple joys and never missed a chance to bring her family close.
She is survived by her five children: Deborah Spencer (Craig) of Des Moines, IA; Jeffery Lamb of Bolivar, MO; Michael Lamb of Bolivar, MO; Misty Lamb of Ozark, MO; and Christina Cooper (Michael) of Bolivar, MO.
Her grandchildren brought her endless joy: Chad Trullinger of Melcher, IA; Bradley Trullinger (Kenzie) of Ankeny, IA; Matthew Trullinger of Des Moines, IA; BreAnne Sereg (Marcus) of Des Moines, IA; Amanda Lamb of Bolivar, MO; Katie Lamb (Heather) of Severn, MD; and Lindsay Goldsberry (Josh) of Carlisle, IA.
Genny was also blessed with 24 great-grandchildren, each dearly loved: Chayse, Tristen, Alana, Austin, Keegan, Landon, Silis, Delta, Mattie, Declan, Charles, Oliver, Kaidan, Parker, Ryker, Kali, Kloe, Willow, Mckenzie, Bryson, Justina, Aiden, Brock, and Savanna.
Her love carried on to another generation as well, with four great-great-grandchildren: Forest, Jaxxson, Aiden, and Iris.
She is also survived by her sweet little dog, Lil Bit.
Genny was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Alpha Robison; her husband, Charles Lamb; her son, Curtis Lamb; and her great-grandson, Calvin Trullinger.
A celebration of Genny's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Bello, 1556 State Hwy 32, Bolivar, MO. Lunch will be served, and all who loved her are welcome to come share memories and honor a life well lived.
Genny will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her spunk, and most of all, the deep love she had for her family. Her presence will be missed every day, but the love she gave will carry on for generations.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
