Fredrick Stone

Fredrick "Freddie" Richard Stone, 82, of Republic, MO passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born June 28, 1944, in Jackson County, MO.

Freddie was a hardworking farmer who loved the outdoors and the simple things in life. He spent many years working with horses and mules and took great pride in his teams of mules. He especially enjoyed riding horses and going on trail rides, as well as hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved his family dearly and shared a very special bond with his grandson, who held a very special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.T. and Lila Fletcher.

Freddie is survived by his children, Susan Crouch and husband Frank, Melinda Stone and fiancé Kalyn Jackson, and Abby Leach and husband James; her grandchildren, Kaleb Parker, Hailey Fitzanko, Emily Crouch; and his great grandson, Theodore Parker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
