Forrest Wayne Wilkins was born March 5, 1953 in Brownwood, TX and passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Springfield, MO.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, Forest Wilkins and Minnie Cook Windham; and brother, Robert Eugene Wilkins.
Forrest is survived by three children, Forrest Wilkins Jr. and wife Valarie, Desiree Wilkins and fiancé Chris West, and Timothy Wilkins; grandchildren Kristen and Kaden Wilkins, Collin Davis, Atom Whitmire, Caleb & Corey West, Forrest Hopkins, Annabeth and Christian Pearson; great-grandchildren Adrian, Noah, and Ava; sister Sharon Drake and husband Anthony; and many nephews and nieces, extended family members, friends and loved ones.
Forrest graduated from Belton High School in 1971. He worked at Montgomery Ward's for many years and eventually Circuit City. He then became a postal worker and spent 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
Forrest was a devoted father and grandfather, always helping his loved ones in need and enjoyed spending time with his family. He cherished the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was also an avid sports fan, especially his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.
His love and loyalty to his family was beyond measure. He will be greatly missed.
