Floyd "Bud" Eugene Johnson, age 72, of Springfield, was born January 23, 1942, in Joplin, MO, to Floyd Calvin and Alice Pearl (Henderson) Johnson. He passed away Friday, September 12, 2014, in his home surrounded by his family. He moved to Springfield, MO, in 1968 after serving 2 years in the U.S. Army. Bud was a long time employee of Ozark Grocers and Amcon Distributing Company. He is survived by his wife, Kay (Brandon) Johnson; daughter, Christina (Johnson) Abadie; son-in-law, James Abadie; and grandchildren, Jamie, Michael, Jonathan, David, and Lilly Abadie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He will be greatly missed by life-long friends, Bob Lane, DeAnn Hays, Paul Towe and numerous other friends and relatives. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all. A Celebration of Life service will be held in South Haven Baptist Church where Bud became a member in 1980. Services will begin at 5:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2014. A reception with the family will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
