Faythe J. Byork, 96, was called to Our Lord, on July 21, 2017. Faythe was born to the late Gladys Smith on May 11, 1921 in Elmore, Minnesota. She lived her early life in her quaint hometown and later moved all over the country to many states from Minnesota to Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Iowa, California, Missouri, and Colorado, as she kindly touched lives infusing those around her by her happy, cheerful spirit and her effervescent smile.
She was a devoted Wife to Wesley C. Byork who preceded her in death. Also, a loving Mother adored and survived by her five children, Anita J. Cody (Richard), Teri Lea Greco (Jerald), Wesley E. Byork (Choochoo), John D. Byork (Gloria), Melody Ann Yaw. Her legacy leaves behind so many special and beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many loyal and loving friends. She was a loving, devoted "Nanny" to several children during her many years in Stockton, Missouri.
Faythe's endless love for animals was also prominent in her kind and gentle heart, especially with her little, darling "kitty kats".
She lived her life to the fullest as she endlessly enjoyed music, television soap operas, sporting events and most notably remained an avid Viking Football Fan throughout her wonderful life.
Her absence has brought an indescribable hole in our lives. We find peace and comfort in knowing that Faythe is with our Heavenly Father and her eternal family now. We find serenity in knowing that she can sing, laugh and smile with all of her radiance in heaven as she celebrates being back in the arms of so many she loved and cared for dearly over the course of her blessed life.
Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2017, in the Gum Springs Cemetery, Stockton, MO.
