Obituary

Farrel Jean Wade, 72, of Springfield, MO, was called home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2013, after a sudden and short illness. Farrel was born on August 27, 1940, in Springfield, MO, and lived here all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Winston Wade; her parents, John and Eunice Moore; her twin sister, Carol Dean Taylor; and her brothers-in-law, Gene Taylor and Robert Casteel. She is survived by her three children, Wendy Wade of Ozark, David Wade of Springfield, and Tammy Bass of Springfield; sister, Donna Casteel of Springfield; nephew, John Taylor of Springfield; and her two grandsons, Garren Wade and Jordan Bass, whom she adored; her mother-in-law, Helen Scott; and brothers-in-law, William Wade and wife Karen, Wendell Wade, and Weldon Wade. Farrel worked at Zenith for many years up until they relocated. It was at that time that her husband became ill and she was able to take care of him until his passing. She has missed him greatly ever since and her children have found solace in their being together again. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching episode after episode of NCIS. She recently had been attending church with her favorite Aunt Katherine and Uncle DeWayne Moore, where she loved listening to her Aunt Kate sing. Farrel was also incredible ceramics artist. Farrel, our Mom, will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Valerie Williams officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
