IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Faith
Huffman
September 19, 1962 – May 14, 2021
Faith Ann Huffman (Brooks Cotner) was born in Washington state, September 1962 and passed from this world, surrounded in the love of her family May 2021. Faith was preceded in death by her Mother, Sonya Schultz, and Father, Ray Brooks.
Faith was a woman who let her love for family and friends lead her. Her coworkers became her family, and she was always respected and appreciated. Faith had work ethics that set an example, whether her career in lead administration roles, in home health or hospice work. She saw her patients through the end of life, with love and empathy for the families she cared for. Faith knew no sacrifice for those she brought into her circle of love and kindness. She knew though, how to stand her ground, and fight for those she loved, especially where her children were concerned. Faith had two children, Stephanie Cannon, of North Carolina and Joshua Cotner of Missouri.
Faith wanted her children and grandchildren, to know the love and pride she had for them. She loved and respected her daughter deeply, she thought Stephanie a beautiful woman, a dedicated wife to Erik and a loving Mother to Haley, A.J., Addy and Easton. She loved her Country, and was proud of her son-in-law Erik's career in the Army; as well as her son Josh's service as a Marine. With a strong patriotism, and a passion for Christ, her prayers were with them always. Joshua, is married to Leah, and they have three boys, Jackson, Maverick and Jocko, who loved their "Nana Faith". Faith was loved by her children and grandchildren, and even at the end, her only thoughts were of making final memories with them.
Faith was an excellent cook and a beautiful homemaker, taking great pride in all details of decorating and cleaning, with country and gospel music playing in the background. Her life is a testimony of no matter what you are going through, you still put your best self forward, by looking presentable and being kind to everyone. Faith felt we should accept what life has given us, take the moments of love and beauty, and use them as a source of strength. Faith had a passion that the stigmas on domestic abuse and mental illness be broken. Also, no matter how old you are, or what has happened, there is always a time to get help and heal. And finally, all children be protected, and that victims have a voice. Because of her life experiences, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Harmony House 3404 E Ridgeview Springfield, MO 65804 "In memory of Faith Huffman".
