Esther Colene (Holley) Nunn, passed from this earth to her heavenly reward in the presence of her family on November 12, 2014, in Springfield, Missouri. Esther is survived by her husband, Jack Junior Nunn of Springfield, Missouri; her daughter and son-in law, Jacqueline Colleen Long and Timothy Scott Long, of Springfield, Missouri; her daughter Kathryn Lorene Cordova, of Bolivar, Missouri; one sister, Shirley Morton of Springfield; and six grandchildren, Kaily Long, Brittany McGinnes, Dillon Long, Levi Long, Baliegh Cordova, and Natalia Cordova. She is preceded in death by her father, Steve Orville Pete Holley; her mother, Velma Francis Adeline Keller; two brothers Bill and Steve; and three sisters, Cleo, Gladys, and Mary. Esther was born on August 6, 1945 in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield and on July 7, 1964 she married the love of her life Jack Nunn. They recently celebrated fifty years of marriage and during their marriage had two children, Jackie and Kathy. Esther enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her husband and family. Her family was very important to her and she spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Cherry Street Baptist Church from 4 pm to 6 pm with a memorial service to follow from 6 pm to 7 pm. Pastor Dennis Jennings will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Esther's life. Although she will be missed, her passing is celebrated because of the hope and salvation she had in Jesus Christ and the promise of life eternal given to her. Esther also had a love for children and those who are suffering from cancer. Therefore, in lieu of flowers and plants, the family request donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
