Elaine Mary Ma Kettle Butt, 67, West Plains, MO, passed away January 14, 2014. She was born October 8, 1946 in Freeport, Il. She was the daughter of Effie (Burrington) and Homer Van Meter of Freeport. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Sarah and Joe Wolfe of Galena, Il. Elaine was married to Raymond Broker of MN. They had one child and divorced. She then married Robert Robinson of West Plains, MO, where they lived for a few years, had four children and divorced. Elaine then married Harold Butt of Warren, Ill, where she lived until her husband s death. She returned to West Plains in 2003. Elaine loved cooking. It became a passion of hers which earned her the nickname Ma Kettle . She is survived by two daughters, Denola Belcher and husband Randy, Gidget Harmon and husband Todd, all of West Plains; three sons, Raymond Broker, Jr. of MI, David Colin of Springfield, MO, and Robert Colin of Republic, MO; two sisters, Eldine Mead of IL, and Evelyn Wolfe of FL; brother, Earl Wolfe of FL; seven grandkids; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Lora Weant.
