Edith "Edie" Marie Buckner, 64, of Strafford, MO passed away Monday, March 17, 2025. She was born June 29, 1960, to Nova "Dale" and Wanda Glidewell in St. Joseph, MO.

Edie retired from the Springfield Public School system after working in food services for more than 15 years. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and being at the lake. She was always up for a game of Yahtzee with her children, and she liked to watch older shows on tv; Murder She Wrote was one of her favorites.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Wanda Glidewell; her siblings, Todd Glidewell, Eddie Joe Glidewell, and Shirley Simpson; and her beloved dog, Harley.

Edie is survived by her husband of nearly 35 years, Kevin Buckner; her children, Merlin Symmonds, Jennifer (Kevin) Fitch and Brian Symmonds; her grandchild, Stearling Fitch; her siblings, Kimberly Schmidt and Kevin (Mary) Glidewell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St. Springfield, MO. 65807.
