Dwight Dallas Kilmer, 79 returned to his heavenly home on September 20, 2017, after a short illness in Springfield, MO. Dwight was born to the late Rev. Dallas Kilmer and Minnie (Myers) Kilmer in Bellevue, MO, April 14, 1938.

Dwight was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend Eva June Munhollon on November 4, 1956, in Springfield, MO, and raised four children. Dwight's passion for automobiles led him to a vast and varied career in the automobile industry for over 60 years until he retired from Mayes Automotive in 2003. However, he continued to enjoy classic cars and trucks. He was a devoted member of Hillside Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years.

Dwight is survived by his wife of sixty years, June; his sons, Dwight Jr. (Cindy) of Willard and Dan (Rachael) of Springfield; his daughters, Kathie Hicks (Rick) of Springfield and Sally Hollingshad (Ray) of Springfield; one brother, David (Gloria) of Rogersville, MO; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, with another great grandchild due in February.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 12 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2017, with services following at noon, in the Hillside Baptist Church, 8366 W State Hwy 266, Springfield, MO 65802. Burial to follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.

With Dwight's love of vehicles, family and friends are encouraged to drive their own beloved classic car or truck to the services.
