Doyle E. Allmon, 78, of Seymour, MO, began his walk with God, June 15, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Winona, MO, July 30, 1936, to Bud and Maggie Allmon. On August 17, 1957, he married the love of his life, Helen Marie Brooks and to this union six children were born. Doyle was an exceptionally hard worker. He started hauling logs at the age of 14 with his dad and spent most of his years in the logging, sawmill & woodworking business. Doyle also owned a dairy farm, tire shop and discount grocery store. He worked tirelessly to not only provide for his family but for many others, asking nothing in return. Doyle was one of the hardest working, most honest, humble and certainly one of the funniest men to grace this earth. He had a nickname for just about everyone he knew. Some of those names are Ornery pup, Julio, 3 tattoo, Scatterbrain, Little bit, pretty, Sweetie, Hot shot and so many, many more. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Richard; and infant son, Douglas. Doyle is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Robert Allmon and wife Donna, Doylita McCormack and husband Roger, Susan Cantrell and husband Danny, Jennifer Allmon, and Eric Allmon and wife Heather; grandchildren, Misty and husband Frank, Krystal and husband Ramsey, Cody, Leann, Ashley and husband Eric, Colter, Caitlyn, Kylie, Cory, Lane and wife Wendy, Jordan and wife Lytoya and Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Aspen, Carson, Rhylee, Allie, Madyson, Braydon, Lia, Ty, MariAna, Maddox, Miley and Katherine; siblings, Dwain Allmon and wife Mary, Lowell Dale Allmon and wife Delores, Charlotte Allmon and Gordon Allmon; and a host of beloved family and special friends that are too numerous to mention. A celebration of Doyle's life will be held at 2 PM, on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church of Seymour. Graveside services and inurnment to occur at a later date in the Falling Springs Cemetery, Winona, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Falling Springs Cemetery of Winona, MO. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Glenwood Healthcare of Seymour and Cox South Hospital-Neurotrauma ICU for the care Doyle received. In one last act of kindness, Doyle was able to give someone the gift of sight through eye donation. This kind and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him. Although he will be greatly missed, we can take comfort in the truth that through our Lord Jesus we will one day meet again.
