Douglas "Doug" Andrew Angleton, 63, of Bolivar, MO passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from his battle with cancer. He was born on April 24, 1961, in Chanute, Kansas. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Claris "Eileen" Angleton; and son, Michael Gilmore.

Doug was a proud Father and Grandpa: Wife, Terri Angleton; Daughters, Aimee (William) Van Praag, Danielle (Juan) Castro, and Haley (Josh) Wilcox; Grandchildren, Jaden, Christopher, Peyton, and Sloan; Brothers, Dwight (Carol) Angleton and Doyle (Cathy) Angleton; In-laws, Gene (Irene) Davis; Brother in-law, Tim (Wendy) Davis; many nieces and nephews. Being in Doug's inner circle, receiving a "nickname" was a badge of honor. If you were gifted one of these special monikers we celebrate you here in Doug's memory.

Doug was a commercial truck driver for most of his life, until he became a double amputee in 2016, and retired from driving. Doug enjoyed every type of racing; NASCAR, outlaws, dirt track, and tractor racing. He attended many of these events, with the best snacks in tow. Doug spent endless hours crafting works of metal and general tinkering. He was dependable whenever something broke or a friend or family member needed assistance, but you could always count on your fix being incorrect, he believed his way was the best. Doug was a master griller, who enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. He loved his wife deeply and cherished his family to the end.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the Best Western, Community Room, Bolivar, MO.
