Doris Ann Mackey, age 75 of Seymour, MO, departed this life October 3, 2017, in Springfield Mercy Hospital.

Doris was born August 14, 1942, in Seymour, MO, to Dooley Earl and Zadie Irene (Moore) Ashley. After graduating from Seymour High School, she worked at the shoe factory, HD Lee and several other local factories. She also was an elementary school cook and nurse's assistant at several local nursing homes.

She expressed her faith in the Lord by attending church all of her life. She enjoyed singing with her family in church.

On October 6, 1962, in Seymour, MO, Doris married Jasper Thomas Mackey and they made their home in Seymour all their married life. They enjoyed having family close by and the fellowship of many friends in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas; her son-in-law, Danny Noyes; her brother and his wife, Elmer Gene and Betty Ashley; and brother-in-law, Darrell Mallory.

Survivors include her two daughters, Barbara Noyes of Lamar, MO, and Marsha Thomas and husband Josh of Seymour, MO; six grandchildren, Christina Mackey, Brandon Mackey, Shelby Mackey, Travis Noyes, Hannah Noyes and Hunter Thomas; two sisters, Sharon Young and husband Charley of Marshfield, MO, and Helen Mallory of Seymour, MO; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, October 9, 2017, in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services. Online condolences may be left at www.midwestfuneralservices.com .
