Donald Le r oy McCoy, 83, a resident of Rogersville , M issouri, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 20, 2021. Don was born August 14, 1937 and grew up in Houston, Missouri with eight siblings, Don being the youngest. He married Viretta Imogene Armstrong on September 1, 1956. The couple had two children: La Dawn Herley and Doug McCoy.

La Dawn , the oldest child, went on to marry Gary Herley . They had two children: Laura Megel and Schyler Her ley . Schyler s erves in the Navy , and Laura works for BLM in forestry. Laura gifted Don with two great-grandchildren: Autumn (3 years old) and Ivy (1 month old ).

Don's youngest child, Doug, married Vickey McCoy, and they had t wo daughters : Jessica Upton-McCoy and Amber McCoy. Jessica, the oldest daughter , gifted Don with a great-grand child, Caiden Presley (5 months old). Jessica is currently in school to become an early childhood teacher. Am ber will graduate college in 2022 with a major in psychology and a minor in biomedical sciences with intentions of becoming a Physician's Assistant. He was proud of all of his grandchildren.

Don was a hard worker, working in construction for his entire career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring old cars and trucks, gardening, and especially giving his grandchildren a har d time. After his wife passed away in January of 2017, he devoted his life to Jesus and was baptized by Mike Casey, who also became a good friend.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021, in the Union Cemetery, 5230 Union Road, Cabool MO.
