Dona Moore

Apr 3, 1940 — Aug 18, 2026

Springfield

Dona Eileen Moore was born April 3, 1940, to Maurice and Hazel Warriner in Wisconsin. On Tuesday, August 18, 1980, at the age of 86, she went to Heaven to meet Jesus. She was greeted there by her husband, Thomas Howard Moore; her stillborn baby; two of her daughters, Sharon and Kim; her baby brother, Mike; and her aunt, Barb all of whom preceded her in death.

Dona worked as a machine operator, but her true passion was horses. She dedicated much of her life to horse training and barrel racing, most notably training her beloved white stallion. Her talent and dedication took her all the way to New York to show her horse, before returning to Illinois, where she married her husband and began the next chapter of her life.

She is survived by her children, Debora Honey, Daniel Moore, Tawanna Smallwood, and John Moore; and many grandchildren, including Kory Honey.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
