Derek Alan Williams of Springfield, Missouri, was born March 10, 1976, in Manhattan, Kansas to Gordon and Virginia Williams, and entered into rest Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 47 years, 5 months and 22 days.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon R. Williams

He is survived by mother, Virginia (nee Cantrell) Bussard; six children, Brandon Williams, Brittany (Hunter) Chandler, Taylor Williams, Ethan Williams, Virginia Williams and Max Robbins (stepson); four grandchildren, Adrian and Julian Chandler, Alayna and Rylynn Williams; two sisters, Aneta Smith and Jessica Williams; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and many other relatives and friends.

Derek attended Hillcrest High School (class of 1994). He was proud to be a "momma's boy", and he loved his kids with his whole heart.
