David Eugene Owens, 77, of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was born July 30, 1945, to Walter and Dorothy Owens in St. Louis, MO.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Owens; parents, Walter Owens of St. Louis, Dorothy Lee Hall and Woodrow Hall of Cherryville Mo; and grandmother, Pauline Rose Brune of Cherryville, MO.

David was in the Air force for four years and is a veteran from the Vietnam War.

He was a man of very great faith and previously attended South Haven Baptist of Springfield. He was a very kindhearted person and would do anything for anyone in need.  He enjoyed reading and singing hymns and enjoyed lie best when his family was all round him talking and kidding around, barbequing and having a good time together. He loved fishing with his Stepfather Woody Hall

He is survived by his former wife Sarah Owens of St. Louis Mo and son Scott Owens of Lawrenceville, GA, Sister; Kathleen DePaulo of Steelville Mo. Sister.; Mary Stricklin and brother-in-law Donald Stricklin of Cherryville, Mo., Sister; Virginia Cox and brother-in-law Todd Cox of Arnold Mo.  Stepdaughter Mary Koester of San Pablo, Stepdaughter Pearl Decue and husband of Antioch Ca. Stepson, Frank Aguilar of Antioch, CA, Stepdaughter Sandra Todd and Husband of Bay Pointe, CA and Stepdaughter Betty Aguilar of Bay Pointe, CA. Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, friends, and neighbors.
