David A. Gage, 72, passed away Saturday October 2, 2021, at his home in Buffalo. He was born December 22, 1948 in Denver, Colorado to Ted Alvis and Rita Frances Jones Gage.
David served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Midway, an air craft carrier between July 1969 to October 1970 I, in Radio Operations. After an honorable discharge. David returned home and later married Barbra Jane Cormana Beall in Adam City, CO on November 27, 1981.
The Gage family lived in many places around the country where David worked as a Head Custodian at Adam City School. He then attended Colorado Areo Tech school in Westminster Colorado and received his Air-frame and Power Plant license. He maintained a 4.0 average and Perfect Attendance awarded all while working a full time job to support his family. He worked for several major airlines. He then became an airline Quality Assurance Auditor, where he was employed until his retirement.
David and Barbara moved to the community of Buffalo in May 2020 to be near his daughter due to his failing health. In their earlier years they enjoyed square dancing and fishing. David especially enjoyed reading.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara; daughters, Janet Gage and Chantel Marie Kemper (Joshua); step-son, Gary Beall; 5 grandchildren, Christina Marie Kemper, Adam Joshua Kemper, Daniel David Kemper, Benjamin David Kemper and Reese Kristina Mae Beall. 2 aunts, Josephine Gianzero (Albert) and Sandy Jones (Jack); and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Ted Gage, Oct. 1975, his mother Rita Gage, Feb. 2005 and a step-daughter, Christina Mae Beall May 1999, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, Missouri (1-417-823-3944), with interment at the same cemetery with military honors. Time and date is not yet set. A celebration of life will follow at the Kemper Farm, 122 Airport Rd. Buffalo, MO.
