David Carl Fry was born March 8, 1955 in Mt Carmel, Illinois, the youngest of the 4 boys born of William Gordon and Ruth Evelyn (Taylor) Fry. David passed from this life peacefully on April 23, 2022, with his youngest daughter at his side.

David spent most his life in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in 1973. David went to work at Lily Tulip Cup as a machine mechanic and it was from there he retired.

He married Leslie Kay Essary in 1979, they had 3 children.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, Bill & Ruth and his wife, Leslie.

He is survived by his son, Jason Fry; his daughters, Kristin Fry and Meagan and her husband Forrest (Woody) Sumner; one grandson, Noah; three brothers and their wives, Ron and Eva, Larry and Julia, and Steve and Sharon; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was avid KC Chiefs fan and he loved the St Louis Cardinals baseball and drag racing.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 5 to7 pm at Midwest Funeral Home 2026 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO, 65807.
