Vernon "Daryl" Gann, 52, of Springfield, MO, passed away May 11, 2022. He was born November 29, 1969, in Springfield, MO to Vernard Gann and Shirley Elaine (Loftin) Kirby.

For much of his adult life, Daryl worked as an accomplished union electrician through the IBEW local 453 in Springfield. With a penchant for understanding mechanics and technical systems, he excelled in his profession but also had a deep interest in cars and motorcycles. He loved music, particularly classic rock; he persisted that Eddie Van Halen was the greatest guitarist to ever do it. He enjoyed making big meals for his family, especially breakfast or anything on the grill, and spending time with his grandkids. Most of all, Daryl was funny, caring, and reliable.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Vernard Gann of Springfield, MO, and Shirley Elaine (Loftin) Kirby of Ava, MO.

Daryl is survived by his children, Hayden Gann and wife Jantzen of Moscow, ID, and Kaitlyn Gann and partner Ross of Billings, MO; his siblings, Mike Gann and wife Bernice of Galena, MO, Allen Clark and wife Suzie of Ava, MO, Debra Hamilton of Syracuse, MO, Janet Massey and husband Robert of Taneyville, MO, Cheryl Gann Padgett of Ava, and Chris Kirby of Taneyville, MO; aunt and uncle David and Darlene Jenkins of Wildwood, MO; grandchildren Carson Gann-Edwards and Opal Steinmann of Billings, MO; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
