IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Danny
Morley
December 23, 1949 – August 11, 2023
Danny Lee Morley was born on December 23, 1949, in Springfield, MO to William Frank Morley and Helen Marie Hood. He died at 73 years old on August 11, 2023, at home in Billings, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harry and Katy Morley and Marion and Tressie Hood. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Morley; their one child, Chad Morley and spouse Docia Morley of Battlefield. Also, two grandchildren, Shelby Morley (Battlefield) and Brandon Morley (New York Bethel); his sister, Donna Sue Sanders (Nixa); as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, dear friends and spiritual brothers and sisters.
Dan lived a very full life. He met Judy at Ash Grove high school. They married on May 13, 1969, in Harrison, AR.
Dan worked on pipeline construction for several months but didn't like being away from home. He started working at Paul Mueller Company in Springfield, MO. Dan always had an entrepreneurial spirit. He started his own business in 1975 and worked in metal fabrication designing and selling products. His last project was designing and building (with help of other brothers) the front gate of the Kingdom Hall in Republic. His hobbies included riding dirt bikes and building hot rods.
His ministry was always very important to him. He first learned about Jehovah in high school from his uncle and mother. Dan and Judy studied the Bible together and were baptized together in January 1973. They had the privilege of regular pioneering many years together. Dan always said he was happy they put spiritual interests first when they were young. Dan volunteered to work at Wallkill Bethel and Brooklyn Bethel several times. Dan and Judy then went to Ecuador to expand their ministry in a foreign field. When they came home Kingdom Hall construction was very busy and Dan worked many years with the RBC. Dan received the assignment as food service overseer for the RBC. Judy said it was strange because she never saw him cook anything in 54 years. When he got that assignment, he worked with many brothers and designed and built a new cook trailer. Many happy memories were made with the friends.
Dan was a pillar in the congregation. He served as an elder for many years and was a huge support for the pioneers. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was very proud of his family and his smile and kind words brought joy to us all.
