Obituary

Dannie Wayne Petry, 70, of Springfield, died at home with hospice after a long illness on May 21, 2020. He was born February 6, 1950. He spent most of his life working for his cousin in commercial construction. Dannie married Carol Talley on April 22, 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Frances Petry; brother-in-law, Bill Wooden; and nephew, Billy Ray Henry.
Dannie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carol; son, Jerry of Springfield, MO, daughter, Tina and husband Jeff of Springfield, MO, step-children, Christy of Springfield, MO, and Blake and wife Brittney of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Chellsey, Peyton, Kaylee, Gaven, Katie, Taylor and Kale; siblings, Rena and husband Terry of Aldrich, MO, Gary and Mabel of Granite Falls, NC, Bonnie and wife Bev of Springfield, MO, and Mark and wife Jamie of Bolivar, MO; sisters-in-law, Kathy and husband Mike of Independence, MO, Norma and husband Jim of Nixa, MO, brothers-in-law, Jerry of Springfield, MO and Michael of Lawrence, MO; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, MO. Please be advised that guidelines for social distancing are being followed.
