Dan H. Murphy, 75, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, in his home following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born November 18, 1942, in Springfield, MO, to Jack and Fern Murphy. He graduated from Strafford High School and attended SMS now MSU.

He was a retired meat cutter; working at Consumers, Rameys and Price Cutter. He was also a member of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine here in Springfield.

On April 6, 1963, he married Katherine Sue Emberton and three children were born to this union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Fern Murphy.

He is survived by his wife, Sue and their three children, Tracy Copilevitz, Springfield, MO, Sally Payne, Springfield, MO and Russell Murphy, Union, MO; and grandchildren, Chloe and Claire Copilevitz; Parker and Sophie Payne and Kaylee Murphy. He also leaves behind his many friends including his lifelong friend John Jackson.
