Dan Holcomb (Danny Joe Hicks) of Springfield, MO passed away at Cox Medical Center on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, with his loving wife by his side. Dan was born December 8th, 1947, to Joe Junior Hicks and Delilah (Willard).

Dan was a lifelong resident of the Four State Area with ties to Nowata, OK; Garfield, AR; Topeka, KS; and Noel, MO. After serving in the military he made his living as a skilled welder. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He loved sharing his Native American heritage with those around him.

Dan is survived by his wife of the home, Elizabeth Holcomb; daughters, Danielle Holcomb of Kansas City, KS and Amanda (Holcomb) Dragos of Grand Junction, CO; his grandchildren, Sequoia, Avery and Chelsea; his brothers, Joe W. and Dena Hicks, Randy and Jennifer Hicks, Tim and Cheryl Hicks, Sam Hicks and Vickie Harter; his sisters Sheila and Ron Giles, Sherry Roberts, and Judy and Jim Newcomb; and twenty-four nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Junior Hicks and Delilah Barry; brother, Thomas Hicks; and sisters, Carol Loffer and Sheryl Quinton

Celebration of life services will be held in Spring 2022.
