It is with great sadness that the family of Dale (Dolores) Knowles, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, announces her passing on January 18th, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on January 18th, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Wallace and Fern VanVorous and was the eldest of eight children.

She wed Max Knowles in 1953 with whom she raised four sons in Tujunga, California. A talented painter from an early age, she enjoyed green landscapes and rolling hills as her muse. Her pride and joy was her family, whom she loved and cherished dearly. She enjoyed fishing with her father as a child, and one of her proudest titles was to be a "Geary-boy".
