Cyrus Max McColley, 70, of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer s Disease. He was born August 7, 1944, in Shelbyville, IN, to Cyrus and Mary Louise(Carpenter) McColley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Reba Rose McColley. He is survived by his three children, Todd McColley, Traci McColley and Troy McColley; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (McColley) and Eric Hilt, several nephews, nieces and other family members. Max attended Purdue University and served in the United States Air Force before moving to Cleveland, WI, where worked for TDS Telecom for 35+ years. He also enjoyed serving as a Volunteer Firefighter (later Fire Chief) and First Responder for the Cleveland Fire Department, as well as a Paramedic at Holy Family Memorial Hospital. In 2013, he moved to Springfield, MO to live with his daughter. A private memorial service will be held later in the summer in Indiana. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
