Cindy's career started with Hardees where she quickly became a manager. Her skills landed her a position with Steak-Out, moving her to Florida for a time. For 10 years, Cindy found success as the business owner of The Evening Shade in Poplar Bluff. Her giving heart was evident in the people that she helped through the many benefits she held at her business. Her quick wit was not to be matched and she truly had a heart of gold.
She was married to David McWilliams on November 18, 1995, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She spent a lot of time taking care of and loving on her beloved fur babies. Family was incredibly important to Cindy. Her nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart, and she treated them like they were her own.
She is survived by her husband, David McWilliams; father, Ronald Blackwell and wife Shelley of Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Rebecca Gowen and Carl Steele of Naylor, Missouri, Dannie McCoy and husband Steven of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Missy Headlee and husband James of Springfield, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Jason Stone, Jeffrey King and wife Hilary, Brett McCoy, Lukas McCoy, Memphys McCoy, Steven Nance, Stephanie Nance, Stacey Root, Michael Head, Joey Buhler and Casey Headlee; many great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Nance and husband Chuck, Jo Ann Adams and husband Rick, Linda Head and husband Mike, and Janice Buhler and husband Harland; aunt Barb; uncle Gary and wife Judy; many cousins; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Vera and Ed Baker; grandparents, Junior and Evelyn McKeel and Rhodes "Dusty" and Belva Blackwell.
