IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Curtis
Boston
April 12, 1974 – September 7, 2024
Curtis Harry Deon Boston of Strafford, MO passed away Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at the age of 50. He was born April 12th, 1974, to Curtis Ruffin and Pamela Boston in Chicago, IL.
Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aunts; Angela R. and Julia G., Uncles; Charles G., Michael G., Pearl G., and infant brother, Jamall Boston.
Curtis was always very active and intelligent since infancy. In his childhood he enjoyed riding his favorite big-wheel up and down his childhood neighborhood on Campbell Street or playing sports with the neighborhood kids and family. He went on to attend Crane Tech High School where he participated in various sports from football, track & field, and wrestling. He was also an honor roll student in the honor's society club. After graduating in 1992, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was inspired to work in engineering. In 1993, after his discharge from the Air Force, he married his girlfriend, Wilhelmina Brown, in holy matrimony on April 27th, 1993. He went on to enroll and continued some of his higher education at Kennedy-King College.
Curtis always had a love for animals, in particular dogs. When he was not caring for his many beloved dogs over the years, he enjoyed watching sci-fi movies and TV shows like Dr. Strange. He even was an avid comic book collector and created amazing drawings of cartoon characters. From time to time, Curtis enjoyed working on his car and installing sound systems to blast his favorite tunes and showing off his sound system and speakers while cruising. In 2009, he decided to move to Springfield, MO in hopes of finding a new beginning.
Curtis is survived by his parents, Pamela Boston and Curtis Ruffin; wife, Wilhelmina Brown-Boston; daughter, Crystal Boston; Stepson, Johnathan Campbell; Grandson, Seven Wylie; brothers, Terrill Boston, Jamel Boston (Crystal Poindexter-Boston), and Michael Gray; sisters, Dominique Gray and Kristin Gray; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Psalms 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
