Connie Sue (Hall) Ruckman, 68, of Halfway, Mo, after a hard-fought cancer battle, passed away July 4, 2026, at home with her family; she was born December 5, 1957, in Butler, MO to William “Bill” & Rita (Tieman) Hall, who preceded her in death. Connie spent most of her childhood in Harrisonville, Missouri; when she was a teenager the family moved to “Bisby Acres” at Pomme de Terre lake, near Urbana.
On July 3, 1989, Connie married the love of her life, Jamie Ruckman; they lived in Bolivar for several years, where they raised their 3 children. In 2004, they moved to their home in Halfway. Connie spent the past 35 years selflessly caring for her two youngest children and dedicated every moment to their well-being. It took very little to make her happy; if she had a good cup of coffee, an occasional cold Pepsi, and some word search books to pass the time, she was content. Connie had a sharp wit and sense of humor, along with a stubborn determination that carried her through many trials in life.
Connie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jamie; daughter Machelle Hall of Buffalo, daughter Renee Ruckman, and son James Ruckman, both of the home. Also left to mourn Connie’s passing is her sister-in-law, Mari Beth (Ruckman) Sellers and husband Teddy of Springfield, MO; several cousins; life-long friend Maryetta Spice, along with treasured friends and neighbors who grew to become family.
A celebration of life is planned for August 29, 2026, beginning at 2pm at the Halfway Lions Club building located at 2169 Hwy 32, Halfway MO.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
