Connie Lee Barnett, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on July 11, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Connie lived a life rooted in compassion and service.

She dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse aide first at Fair Acres Nursing Home and later in Oklahoma after relocating. Her gentle spirit and unwavering work ethic left lasting impressions on those she cared for and worked alongside.

A woman of deep faith, Connie worshipped within the Pentecostal tradition. Her belief system was the foundation of her kindness and grace, guiding her through life and inspiring those around her.

Connie found joy in the simple things. She loved working puzzle books with quiet focus and watching WWE wrestling with spirited enthusiasm. These hobbies brought her comfort and delight throughout the years.

Family meant everything to Connie. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Louis E. Heitkotter Nowell and son-in-law Randy Heitkotter Nowell; one brother, Rex Joseph Sr.; stepchildren, Katilyn Horne, Charles Marc Barnett, and Shannin Linn Anderson; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Martin Barnett; father, William Louis Davis; mother, Betty Maxine (Gruenert) Davis; mother-in-law, Annabelle Leona Curry; brothers, Ronald Davis, William Leroy Davis, Kenneth Dale Davis; and sister, Sherry Lynn Boman.

Connie's legacy is one of love, strength, and care-a guiding force in the lives of those who knew her.
