Obituary

Claudia Jean Conrad was born on October 7, 1949, in Ames Iowa to Claude Ray Harrelson and Dorthy Harrelson- Yancy. Claudia was one of 5 children.

On January 25th, 1967, she married Michael Conrad Sr. from Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. They built their life together for many years in Iowa and then relocated to Missouri in 1987. Together they had four children, Michael Dean Conrad Jr (Charleen Conrad), Michelle Denne Smith (John Smith), Amber Lynn McVay, and Rhiannon Renne Franks (Greg Franks); and fourteen grandchildren, Cayla Goldschmidt (David), Caytlin Sperandio (Jacob), Brett Wiseman (Sabrina), Alyia Eaton (Caleb), Robbie Prewitt, Cheyenne Debruyn (Jacob), Rebecca Rhinehart, Billy Greer, Dakota McVay, Shaylie Hodge (Jonathon), Brent McVay, Kristy McCaslin, Sinjin Franks and Solitaire Franks; and eleven great grandchildren.

Claudia had such a generous personality, giving all she could to the ones she loved. She learned to be a fighter and fight for her life at an early age, as she was severely burned at the age of 2. All through her life, she embodied that, and would not let anything take her down, even though she faced several severe health challenges.

She loved life and her family. She loved to throw a great party, dance, enjoy food, and enjoy her family and friends. She was talented at anything she wanted to do. She could craft anything, sew, crochet, needlepoint, garden, and cook. She could decorate and brighten any room. She was a hard worker, doing whatever it meant to take care of her family. From owning her restaurant with her daughter- in- law, JJ's Country Inn, to going to Barber school and providing haircuts and perms to those she loved.

Among the happiest times in her life were pioneering with her grandchildren. She loved the truth, when she learned that God had a name at Psalms 83:18, that changed her life, and she wanted to tell everyone about his name, Jehovah. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1985. Even the last moments in her life, she took every opportunity she could to tell everyone of her hope, a resurrection to an earthly paradise where there will be no more death, pain, or sickness. She looks forward in helping bring back the earth to a paradise after she is resurrected, and being reunited with her Husband, Mike, who passed away in June 2023.
