Obituary

Lucinda "Cindy" Kay Cantrell first born to the most amazing parents, Thomas and Brenda Hampton. She was born on November 5, 1968, in Mountain Home, Arkansas and departed this life Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the age of 53 in her home she was so proud of the home she shared with her husband Philip Cantrell (at least they had decided against moving to the 55+ community).

On November 12, 1987, Cindy's only child (because she was absolutely the best, she didn't need any more of her own and she looks and acts just like her momma), Jennifer Marie (Stofer) Harris was born.

In 1994, she met (as she described and still does the hottest guy ever) Philip Cantrell. Philip brought into their relationship a daughter, April Rena Cantrell that she loves dearly. After many many many years, Cindy and Philip married in a small ceremony in Arkansas, March 23, 2013.

Right after they finally got married, April 20, 2013, Cindy gained a son-in-law, Ryan Harris. Ryan and Cindy were very close. Ryan and Jen talked to Cindy almost every day.

Cindy had 2 sisters, Tina Marie Hampton and Elizabeth "Beth" or "BB" Hampton. Although Tina left this earth early, she was waiting with open arms for Cindy in Heaven. Beth and Cindy had an unbreakable sister bond. Even if one tried to make the other eat a mud pie when they were little. They were very close.

Cindy "Mawma" got to spoil and spent time with her 6 grandkids, Dakota, Rylee (Cindy picked her name), Ronan Harris of Mansfield, Matthew, Kylie and Emma of Conway. Ronan begged to stay with Mawma every chance he could. Dakota and Rylee insisted on Mawma making coco gravy every time they were over. It did not matter what time of the day. Let's not forget the amazing banana bread. She gave her daughter the recipe several times and she kept losing it so eventually she framed it for her.

When Cindy met Philip not only did she gain a daughter she gained a whole family. George, Thomas, Wanda, and his motorcycle riding mom, June. Wanda and Cindy became very close and loved going to Fall Festivals together. Cindy loved to drag her daughter to those festivals too.

Cindy loved to travel. She and Philip traveled often. Always up for an adventure. On their very last vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama a 10-foot shark right by their hotel didn't even stop them from having the best time. From the mountains, the beach, or a small cabin in Arkansas as long as Philip was by her side, she was Happy!

Cindy loved big, never met a stranger, her smile was contagious, her eyes sparkled, she had the sweetest soul and her hugs melted everything away. So many people thought so much of Cindy. Including her work family, at Logan-Rogersville schools where she was a custodian not a janitor.

Last but not least she was the best momma. It did not matter day or night. She was only a phone call away (sometimes in the middle of the night) Not just a mother but her daughter's very best friends. The love between a daughter and mother is unbreakable. 34 years was just not enough.

She will be missed by so many. Nephews, niece, cousins, aunts (yes, she was Aunt Karen's favorite we know), uncles, friends and family.

Cindy Kay Cantrell you will never be forgotten!
