Obituary

In Loving Memory of Christopher Stephen Przybyl

Christopher Stephen Przybyl passed away unexpectedly due to an illness on December 21, 2024, at the age of 46. His sudden loss has deeply saddened his family and friends.

Chris was born on March 14, 1978, in Murphysboro, Illinois. Throughout his life, he lived in Cape Girardeau, MO, Topeka, KS, Edmond, OK, Geneva, IL, and Springfield, MO. He had a deep love for animals, volunteered at C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue and contributed his time and talents to the Appalachian Service Project (ASP). Chris was also passionate about horseback riding and English jumping.

Faith was an important part of Chris's life, and he became a cherished member of several church families over the years. However, above all, his greatest joys were the relationships he shared with his siblings and close friends.

Despite facing significant challenges and hardships throughout his life, Chris persevered with resilience and strength. Those who knew him will always remember his infectious belly laugh, which could light up any room.

Chris is survived by his loving parents, Clifford and Kim Przybyl of Shell Knob, MO; his sister, Carrie Weber (Don) of Montgomery, IL; and his brothers, Jason Przybyl (Val Pierobon) of St. Charles, IL and Clifford (CJ) Przybyl (Jennifer) of Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Debbie Schrader Przybyl.

Chris is also lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles: Ken Schrader (Chloe) of Humble, TX; David Schrader (Cathy) of Hot Springs, AR; Jeff Schrader of Central AK, Susan Waskiewicz (Bill) of Elgin, IL; Janet Porod (Bob) of Cicero, IL; and John Przybyl (April) of Sheridan, IL.
