Christopher Anthony Barone, aka "Stoney", born Nov. 01, 1956, died in his home, while his wife sat holding his hand, on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 5:20 A.M. Chris was at home and on hospice care for heart failure. He was lucid, calm and at peace.

Chris, or "Stoney" as his wife called him, was retired from the USMC as a sergeant, head cook, with awards of recognition and letters of appreciation. He was very proud of his Italian immigrant grandparents. Chris was born and raised in Queens, New York, and carried that accent his entire life. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Filomena Mary Lomonaco, his father Mario F. Barone and many others.

He loved Harley motorcycles, tattoos, marijuana, cooking and listening to music. His hobbies and gifts were building motorcycles from the ground up, specifically Harley Davidson twin engines. He loved to cook, making Italian foods and thc edibles, and had many interests. He loved music. He loved his wife.

He is survived by his wife, friend and bodyguard, Lena, of Halfway, Mo., his sister, Laura Groch, San Deigo, California, his baby brother, Phillip Barone, of Abilene, Texas, and 2 daughters. He is also survived by 2 stepsons that always came when called and were with him at the end, going above and beyond for Chris; Johnny Brown and Michael Brown, of Halfway, two stepdaughters Summer Craker, Sky Craker-Glenn and her husband Bill Glenn.

Chris is also survived by his best friend, Violet Craker-Glenn, of Halfway.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
