Cheryl Lyn Koehler, 66, of Mt. Vernon, MO passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was born August 26, 1958, and raised by her parents, Jim and Marlene Pinson in St. Louis, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jim Harris and Tony Pinson; her sister, Donna Thompson; and a niece, Sgt. Amanda N. Pinson.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter and best friend, Mel (Mike) Smith; her grandchild, Michael; her sisters, Joyce (Ken) Blank and Betty Williams; her nieces, Laura, Mandé, Amanda, Kelly and Jade; her nephews, Michael, Kevin, Kyle and Bryan; her dear friend, David Fleming; and a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to say a special "Thank you" to David Fleming, he was so special to Cheryl and the care he gave her is so very much appreciated. They would also like to thank the staff at Lawrence County Manor for the wonderful friendship and care that was given and to Compassus hospice for providing Cheryl with comfort and peace.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
