Charles (Chuck) Ray Horst, 61, of Brookline, MO, passed away suddenly in his home on December 10, 2018. He was born August 10, 1957, at Burge Hospital in Springfield, MO, to Charles and Deanna Horst.
He was a talented and successful carpenter and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time in Colorado and at Table Rock Lake. He loved being with his family. His children, Lindsay and Doug, have fond memories of him teaching them how to trout fish in Colorado, going to deer camp with him in the fall, and going for rides in his old blue pick-up truck, Ol' Blue. Chuck loved classic rock, watching Nascar races and his radio was on 24 hours a day in the garage.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Weston Horst. He is survived by his mother, Deanna Horst, his brother, William (Bill) Horst, his sister and her husband, Amy and Gary Strauss, his brother, Richard Horst, his daughter and her husband, Lindsay and Adam Rowell, his son and his wife, Charles (Doug) and Jennifer Horst, and his four grandchildren, Carly, Brody, Dru and Abby. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
