Charles Harrison

Charles Douglass Harrison, 83, of Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born July 18, 1942, in Kennett, MO. He was the only child of Charles and Josephine Harrison.

Charles received a bachelor's degree from SMS, which is now known as MSU, right here in Springfield. He was employed as an optician for Heffington Optical for the last 43 years and never retired. This brought on his favorite thing to say when he heard someone say, "It's Friday!" he would respond with, "Yay! Only two more days till Monday!" When he was able to find some free time, he enjoyed playing a game of golf. He also liked to work on the crosswords and jumbles in the newspaper.

He was so loved and was a great husband, dad, and Papa.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Caron Harrison; and his family, Emberly Harrison, Jennifer Harrison, Thomas Harrison, Martha Harrison, Jayse Douglass, and Yesenia Harrison.

He will be deeply missed and always loved. We will see him again one day.
