Cecelia Fitzpatrick Porter, 89 years old, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Charles and Anna Fitzpatrick on December 17, 1936.

Cecelia went to Glen Nor High School in Philadelphia. She married Frank Porter, Sr., in 1956, and they lived in Lester, PA with their 2 children, Cheryl and Frank Jr. After Frank Sr. retired from Westinghouse, they moved to Villas, NJ. Cecelia volunteered with blood drives, bingo, and other activities at Cooper Cape Regional Hospital for over 30 years. She loved to help others.

Cecelia moved to Fordland, MO on November 1, 2024, to live with her daughter, Cheryl and son-in-law, Bruce. Her last years spent enjoying her time with family going to bingo, dinners, and special events. Cecelia spent Easter with the family this year.

Cecelia is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sr.; her son, Frank Jr.; her parents, Charles and Anna Fitzpatrick; her brother, Charles; and her sister, Anna (Nancy) Rau.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Bruce); her grandkids, Kelly, Michelle, and Cheryl; great grandkids, Jayden, Alan Jr., Riley, and Morgan; her brother, Al (Jen); and many nieces and nephews. Cecelia had many friends in New Jersey, especially Linda and Michael Brannon. She also had made many friends in Missouri.

Services in New Jersey will be held May 9, 2026, at Evoy Funeral Home, Bayshore Road, Cape May, NJ. The Visitation will take place at 12:00 pm with the Celebration of Life starting at 1:00 pm. A Eulogy at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery will follow. Everyone is invited to join the family for lunch that day at Villas Fire Company.

Services in Missouri will be held May 23, 2026, at Northwest Baptist Church. Times are pending.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
