Cathy Jo (Carpenter) Custer was born on March 7, 1956 in Independence, MO to Walter and Dorothy Carpenter. She passed away on April 11, 2024 in Springfield MO.

Cathy attended elementary school, junior high and graduated from Truman High School in Independence, MO in 1974. Cathy was united in marriage to Randy Custer on September 16, 2006.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; and infant nephew, Blaze Carpenter.

She is survived by her husband Randy Custer; son, Chad Carpenter; brother, Walter (Jan) Carpenter; mother and father in law, Don and Pat Custer; sister and brother-in-law, Keith and Robin Bushong; niece, Aly Cesar; nephew, Joseph (Hannah) Carpenter; and great nephew Ayden Cesar. She is also survived by her special uncle, Everett McNutt; many cousins; and other family members and special friends.

Cathy enjoyed traveling to the beach, to Las Vegas, and she loved her pets very much.

Services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services ,located at 2026 W. Woodland Street in Springfield MO.  The visitation will be held at 11 am with a brief service at 12 noon. Please dress casual for the service.
