IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol
King
September 22, 1941 – July 16, 2021
Carol Ann King, 79, of Ozark Missouri passed away July 16, 2021. She was born September 22, 1941, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Herman and Rita White.
She was raised in Colorado Springs and that is also where she met Earl while he was in the service. They married and started their life in Springfield, Missouri. She was a cosmetologist early on, then worked in Springfield Public Schools until retiring in 2001.
After retirement, she volunteered from 2003-2016 at the Pregnancy Care Center. She loved her work there and felt overjoyed when she could be a part of saving the life of a baby.
Carol gave her heart to the Lord some 39 years ago when she walked through the back door of a sanctuary, down the aisle to the church alter and she never looked back. She served Christ with everything she had.
She credited her Grand Father West for having prayed for her for so many years. That is how she learned that same passion in praying for her family and knowing that all of them had a relationship with Jesus.
She was a part of Women's Ministries, Bible Studies, Prayer Groups along with teaching Sunday School and VBS and she loved singing in the Choir. She also had a beautiful gift in using Sign Language to interpret music.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Earl King of the home; two sons, Craig King of Springfield, MO, and Keith and Mylene King of Ozark MO; four granddaughters, Brittney and Josh Whisenhunt, McKenzie and Brandon Lathem, Kelsey and Cody Martin, and Cheyenne King; seven great-grandchildren, Emmalynn, Brynlee and MaKenna Whisenhunt, Kenley and Eastyn Martin and J.D. and Cleo Lathem; three sisters, Connie and Stephen Drumm of Colorado Springs, CO, Patty and Jim Roberts of Caldwell, ID and Linda and Don Tellez of Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Bill and Nancy White of Colorado Springs, CO and Larry and Alicia Perkins of NJ; sister-in-law, Lola Gray of Mountain Grove, MO; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
